FENOMEN’s professional network

FENOMEN and its team have an in-depth knowledge of handling and managing large-scale IT-projects. They have worked for multiple customers of various industries and 4 different countries and cultures.

It is our team’s culture that is the key to FENOMEN’s success, benefiting from a broad vision of the industry and our customers’ needs. Furthermore, we own all necessary competencies in order to achieve our ambitious project: project management, technological expertise, communication skills, understanding of business needs and the ability to establish an efficient communication between technical experts, functional experts and end-users.

Last but not least, it is our team’s experience that is the source of our professional network and enables us to benefit from our customers’ trust : it is our customers who know and recommend us. Listed below are some pilot projects carried out in cooperation with several of our customers.

The pilot projects

We are currently underway of consolidating our products and services and we can refer to several pilot projects in order to achieve three main goals. First of to finalize the FENOMEN platform, secondly to validate our services offer and its adequacy to our customers’ needs and last but not least build THE platform for application modeling and generation of tomorrow.

We are working in cooperation with our customers on selected projects, to develop and refine our offer of services. We have several pilot projects underway of which a description can be seen below:

We are our "own customer" and the first pilot project is about modeling and generating the FENOMEN platform with itself:

Pilot projet 1 : Auto-generation of the FENOMEN platform

Customer: FENOMEN - Customer business: Independent Software Vendor

Project: The FENOMEN platform aims at modeling and generating business applications. However, the FENOMEN platform can itself be seen as a business application. Therefore the FENOMEN platform must be capable of being used to create its own model and to generate itself. This auto generation approach is a key concept, and ensures that the FENOMEN platform is really generic and extremely flexible.

This project is over and was successful: The FENOMEN platform currently owns its own model and is capable to auto-generate itself. All the evolutions that are done on the FENOMEN platform now follow the Modeling + Generation approach.

Following are two pilot projects that are currently under progress:

Pilot project 2 : Migration of a computer-shop management application

Customer business: Computer shop, mass-market and professional market, IT services targeting small to medium-sized companies.

Project: Migration on the FENOMEN platform of an existing business application, used for invoicing, managing the customer relationship, managing the stock and managing the maintenance and support activities.

Objective: Migrate the application developed in a "classical" way, toward a modeling + generation approach, in order to allow for a maximum flexibility for future changes and evolutions of the application. The customer company business is indeed rapidly changing and the application should be flexible and allow for easy changes and evolution of the application features. Moreover these changes should be undertaken by business experts who have no clue of software development.

Pilot project 3: Development of business applications for SharePoint 2010

Customer business: Banking and Financial services

Project : Our customer intensively uses Microsoft SharePoint 2010 as their enterprise tool for document management and collaborative work. Our customer wants to extend the SharePoint capabilities to be able to efficiently and productively develop business applications on SharePoint. Added constraints are to limit the custom code to be written to the minimum and to connect the business applications to the SharePoint data and enterprise data.

The objective of the pilot project is to use the FENOMEN platform as a solution for our customer's need and to enable the FENOMEN platform to target SharePoint as a destination platform, thus allowing the creation of business applications on top of SharePoint 2010, following a modeling + generation approach.

Auto-Generation of the FENOMEN Platform

The auto-generation of the FENOMEN Plateform is a key concept that allows to create and enhance the FENOMEN platform with the same promises and added value than for the business applications generated on the platform: budgets and deadlines cut-off, better quality, higher flexibility.
